WHAT IS AN A.I.M. TRIP?

Ambassadors in Mission is the mission outreach program for Assemblies of God students.  AIMers, both stateside and overseas, spread the Gospel through short-term missions teams working with local churches and Assemblies of God missionaries.  Since its inception in 1966, AIM had taken teams to over 75 countries.  AIMers are involved in evangelism through drama, song, mime, clowning, tract distribution, witnessing, street rallies, crusades and other forms of ministry.  On the spiritual battle-front, AIMers will have a chance to use their talents and abilities for the glory of God.

 

WHERE and WHEN ARE WE GOING THIS YEAR?

El Salvador; July 21-28, 2008

 

WHAT WILL WE BE DOING THIS YEAR?

We will be working with missionaries Don & Terri Triplett, along with Master’s Commission and King’s Castle Warriors in daily evangelism.  We will be utilizing drama and human video in street programs and school assemblies.

 

WHAT IS THE AGE LIMIT?

Applicants must be fifteen (15) years of age by July 1, 2008.

 

WHAT IS THE TEAM SELECTION PROCEDURE?

Sign up, turn in the pre-application, selection will be made, and deposit money will need to be turned in.

  

HOW MUCH WILL THE TRIP COST?

The official trip cost will be released in February, however, we are anticipating a cost of about $1250 per AIMer, which will cover all transportation, meals, lodging.  AIMers are advised to also bring about $100 for personal spending. 

The initial deposit of $100 will be due in March. 
 

WHAT IF I CAN’T AFFORD IT?

If you feel like God wants you to go on an AIM trip, please do not let the apparent lack of funds get in the way.  We will believe with you that God will supply the money.  We will help by giving you sample letters to send out to raise your own support.  We will also have fundraisers to help lower the cost. Although the responsibility of raising the funds for the trip lies with each individual AIMer, ultimately this is a great opportunity to trust God for a miracle.

 

CAN I SIGN UP, PAY MY MONEY AND THEN SHOW UP AND HAVE FUN?

Not that easy!  AIMers will be required to attend monthly (and possibly weekly as the trip approaches) training sessions for one or more of the following categories:

ü      Language Training

ü      Athletic Practice

ü      Children’s Ministry Training

ü      Drama Training

ü      Music Rehearsal

ü      Spiritual Development and Intercession
